Binaural Beats Are a High-Tech Way to Cure Insomnia
Insomnia has become more prevalent in our industrialized society. We face a myriad of problems every day in practically all aspects of our business and professional lives. We worry about loss of jobs, marital separation or divorce, death of close relatives, health issues; and the list goes on and on.
The effects of lack of sleep can be devastating. It can affect the ability to work, relationships, loss of sexual desire, and can eventually lead to heath problems. Our minds are constantly occupied worried about these problems and we can’t turn it off.
Modern technology has come up with another method to help cure insomnia called binaural beats. It is a method of feeding two tones of different frequencies into each ear while wearing headphones. The brain then assimilates the two different tones to create a brainwave which resonates to the frequency differential. This differential is at a much lower frequency which causes the brain to slow down into the lower meditative states of Alpha and Theta.
It is possible to program the binaural beats to progress from the most active Gamma state down through the Beta, Alpha, Theta, and finally the deep sleep state of Delta. This can be programmed for a specific period of time and can be accomplished in a matter of minutes. Binaural beat recordings can be downloaded as mp3’s and can be programmed to whatever sleep cycle the individual wants. They can be used for taking a nap or sleeping for a specific of time.
Most of the time the binaural beats are embedded in some type of music or nature sounds. The type of music can be the listener’s preference such as New Age or Classical. This creates a more pleasurable listening experience.
Some individuals prefer not to have embedded beats, but to listen to the binaural frequency differentials without any background music. Each person has to determine which method works best for them.
